A. Bird-a-thon xoc ch'ich' of the Bird Festival Toh 2011

The pinnacle of the festival, the bird marathon, has identified 346 species of the 465 registered in Yucatan state; species such as the beautiful American Flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber), the Ocellated Turkey (Meleagris ocellata), the Yucatan Jay (Cyanocorax yucatanicus), the Yucatan Wren (Campylorhynchus yucatanicus), the Mexican Sheartail (Doricha eliza) and the Orange Oriole (Icterus auratus), among many others.
